Welcome to TimeZone Visualizer
TimeZone Visualizer is a free, browser-based tool designed to help individuals and teams working across multiple time zones find the perfect meeting times. Our innovative 24-hour pie chart visualization makes it instantly clear when working hours overlap, eliminating the guesswork from international scheduling.
Why We Built This Tool
In today's globally connected world, remote work and international collaboration have become the norm. However, coordinating meetings across different time zones remains a persistent challenge:
- Teams waste time manually calculating timezone differences
- Scheduling conflicts arise from misunderstanding working hours
- Finding optimal meeting times requires checking multiple time zones individually
- Visual representation of overlapping hours is rarely available
We created TimeZone Visualizer to solve these problems with a simple, visual approach that shows all time zones simultaneously on an intuitive 24-hour pie chart.
Key Features
24-Hour Pie Chart
Visualize all time zones on a single circular chart where each hour is clearly marked, making overlaps immediately visible.
Up to 4 Time Zones
Compare working hours across up to 4 different time zones simultaneously with color-coded visualization.
Live Synchronization
Change any timezone or working hours and watch all other zones update automatically in real-time.
Overnight Hours Support
Handle working hours that span midnight, perfect for night shifts and 24-hour operations.
Instant Overlap Detection
Automatically calculates and highlights the best meeting windows where all active zones overlap.
Interactive Drag & Drop
Drag colored arcs or handles directly on the chart to adjust working hours in real-time.
How It Works
TimeZone Visualizer uses pure client-side JavaScript to perform all calculations directly in your browser. Here's what makes our approach unique:
1. Automatic Detection
When you first load the page, we automatically detect your local timezone and pre-populate it along with EST and IST (the most commonly searched combination for international teams).
2. Visual Representation
Each timezone is represented as a colored arc on the pie chart, with the arc spanning the configured working hours. The chart uses UTC as the universal reference, ensuring accurate calculations regardless of daylight saving time changes.
3. Overlap Calculation
Our algorithm continuously analyzes all active timezones to find overlapping hours. These overlaps are highlighted with a bold red indicator on the chart, and the total overlap time is displayed prominently.
4. Privacy-First Design
All data processing happens in your browser. We never send your timezone preferences, working hours, or any personal data to our servers. Your privacy is paramount.

Common Use Cases
Onshore-Offshore Collaboration
One of the most common timezone challenges is coordinating between US teams (PST/EST) and Offshore teams. With our tool, you can instantly see that the best overlap window is typically early morning Pacific time or late Offshore time.
Europe to Americas Meetings
For teams spanning London (GMT) to New York (EST) to Los Angeles (PST), our visualizer shows the optimal afternoon meeting window that accommodates all regions.
24-Hour Global Coverage
Companies providing round-the-clock support can visualize how their teams in different regions provide continuous coverage with minimal gaps.
Open Source and Community
TimeZone Visualizer is committed to transparency and community involvement. While the tool is currently proprietary, we welcome feedback, bug reports, and feature suggestions from our users.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this tool really free?
Yes, TimeZone Visualizer is completely free to use. We support the service through ethical advertising (Google AdSense) while keeping the core functionality accessible to everyone.
Do I need to create an account?
No account is required. The tool works immediately without any registration, login, or personal information.
How accurate are the timezone calculations?
We use the industry-standard IANA timezone database and account for UTC offsets including half-hour timezones like IST (UTC+5:30). Calculations are precise to the minute.
Does it account for daylight saving time?
The current version uses fixed UTC offsets. Daylight saving time adjustments are planned for a future update.
Can I use this on mobile devices?
Absolutely! The tool is fully responsive and optimized for mobile phones and tablets.
Why doesn't it remember my settings?
To protect your privacy, we don't store any data. This means your timezone preferences reset when you close the page. We're considering adding optional localStorage support for convenience.
